HTC One X is barely half a year old but it is getting a major upgrade. HTC today announced the new One X+. It has a lot of new features – enough to make it challenge today’s iPhone 5.
First of all, the HTC One X+ gets the latest version of Android, Jelly Bean which only some phones have right now. It also gets a bigger, 2,100 mAh battery that provides up to 50% more battery life than the One X.
The bigger and better battery powers an all-new Tegra 3 quad-core processor that clocks in at 1.7 ghz. HTC says that the new processor makes the phone 67% more powerful than the One X.
And if you like movies and want more space on your phone, HTC One X+ has a 64 GB storage standard. The phone, available exclusively in matte black, will launch in Europe and North Asia this month with a U.S. date still pending. Pricing has still not been announced.
