Nicolas Cage – Just Another Internet Death Hoax Victim

Recently, many major news companies were reporting that Nicolas Cage had died as a result of a snow-boarding accident. The truth he is fine. He was just another internet death hoax victim.

Global Associated News claimed that Cage died in a snowboarding incident on 17th January in Switzerland. Global Associated News is already  known for spreading false celebrity death news. GAN claimed that:

” The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Nicholas Cage lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed. Nicholas Cage was air-lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.”

Since GAN reported so many details about the incident, it reality it seemed that is true but it is false. Nicolas Cage is alive and well. Many people took to the social networking site Twitter to mourn and to question the loss of the famous and well-known actor:

A message now posted on the bottom of GAN’s site reads:

“FAKE… THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!”
