If you’re the type of person who wastes too much time looking for great photo editing apps, then you should check out PhotoMagic for iPhone. The brainchild of Softease Tech, it delivers on all fronts, and considers the less experienced wannabe photographer with a very user-friendly interface.
When you start-up the app for the first time, you have two choices. Either take a photo with the device’s camera, or load up a picture from your library (permission required). Once that’s done, you have the opportunity to flip through a seemingly endless quantity of filters / tint effects. Some are most certainly better than others, but due to the sheer number, there’s something in there for everybody.
Once you’ve found a nice effect that you like, your next job is to apply a suitable frame. Here again, there are a lot of frames, with quality ranging from decent to downright awful, but in complete honesty, there are enough to cover the various tastes of budding photographers.
As with nearly all photo editing apps, you can easily rotate or flip an image, and cropping can be done according to a variety of aspect ratios, which is a very nice feature.
When you’re done editing your photo, you can save, e-mail, or export your image to a variety of other apps, including Bump. Also, if you want to save a little space on your device, you can downscale it, although this will, obviously, affect the quality.
In the end, PhotoMagic is a really good and nifty little app. The option to add text would have made the app even better, but considering this app is only at version number 1.1.1, there’s still plenty of time for further features in future updates.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a decent all-in-one app for your photo editing needs PhotoMagic for iPhone is one to check out.
